Genuine Brandish

Genuine Brandish is the name of the duo of John Clinebell and Ariana Hall. They first met at an L.A.-area Koffeehouse showcase in early 2010, and soon became close friends. After a few weeks of backing each other up at gigs, audiences made it clear that their voices sound incredible together. Genuine Brandish was commissioned by Tony Barnstone in late 2010 to translate his book Tongue of War into a folk album of 15 songs. Imagine if Johnny Cash wrote with Kate Bush and that will give you a feel for what this record sounds like.
