I was born and raised in Laguna Hills, CA. My parents put a baseball glove and hat on me at an early age, and it has been a huge part of my life every since. At Laguna Hills High School, in addition to baseball, I was captain for the football team. The highlight of my high school playing days was the Hawks run to the CIF semi finals. After graduating high school in 2001, I wanted to stay close to home and ended up studying and playing baseball at Chapman. I was mostly second base and shortstop. My sophomore season, I was moved to play first base for the 2003 National Champion Panthers.
The 2003 team was a one of the more special teams I have ever been a part of. We were a collection of guys that loved the game and did what it took to win. The 2003 season was also special because I met my future wife, Ashlie. Ashlie was the catcher on the Chapman softball team, so we have many interests in common right from the start. Ashlie and I both graduated in 2005. Since graduating from Chapman, I have stayed connected to baseball. I still play on weekends and currently work for Angels Baseball in Anaheim. Ashlie and I live in Orange with our two children, Jack (4) and Haylie (2). Ashlie works in Orange as a middle school science teacher.
