Nancy Holder
Nancy Holder is a New York Times best-selling and multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning author, and a short story, essay, and comic book writer. Many of her short stories have appeared in Best of anthologies. She is the author of the Wicked, Crusade, and Wolf Springs Chronicles series. New titles just out are Teen Wolf: On Fire, and Vanquished, in the Crusade series. She has written a lot of tie-in material for “universes” such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, and many others, and recently won the Scribe Award for Saving Grace: Tough Love, based on the show by the same name. Her new nonfiction book, Buffy: The Make of a Slayer, will be released in October from Titan. She and her daughter, Belle, have sold two Victoriana-steampunk adjacent short stories, which appeared in Pandora’s Closet and Furry Fantastic. She and Belle are currently working on a guest post for Steamed.com, and Nancy is putting the finishing touches on a steampunk short story for the anthology FutureDaze, edited by Erin Underwood and Hannah Strom-Martin. She teaches in the Stonecoast MFA in Creative Writing Program offered through the University of Southern Maine, and edits pulp fiction for Moonstone Books. She lives in San Diego.
